I’ve used this board for a couple of weeks now and it is a quality product. Easy to use, easy to clean, and is just beautiful.

Ability to speak with a representative made me as a consumer feel confident in how to order a cutting board to satisfy my unique request. It arrived properly seasoned, engraved as requested on a beautiful piece of cherry wood, & arrived timely packed safely in a cushioned bag inside a box. Being able to customize it with a unique saying made the gift truly meaningful to the recipient. The gentleman I spoke with on 2 different occasions was kind & showed great patience answering my questions. I did follow up by printing & enclosing care instructions from the website & included a bottle of food grade oil mixed with bees wax.

This is by far the most expensive cutting board I’ve owned, but it is also the most well crafted and superb cutting board I’ve ever owned. This thing is a work of art, you can tell that each piece of wood is meticulously chosen, there is a nice pattern, the pieces aren’t just thrown together haphazardly.

This comes from the shop “preseasoned”, meaning they have already applied some mineral oil and wax. They use a lemon-scented wax which I really wasn’t a fan of, but after a few washes it’s starting to fade.

End grain boards are thirsty, and walnut especially so, so if you want this thing to stay in tip top shape, be prepared to take care of it. I mean you should after all after dropping $500 on it. I use mine daily, and at the end of the day it gets a quick soap and warm water rinse, then towel dried. Once a week i cover it in mineral oil and let the wood soak it all in (you’ll literally see it disappear and soak in before your eyes). The following day i apply a board wax (1 part beeswax, 4 parts mineral oil) and buff it out. This helps repel liquids so they bead off instead of soaking in, and allows you to go up to a month between oilings.

Overall I’m beyond satisfied with this purchase, although the communication (lack thereof) with the company between when I purchased to when the board arrived left a lot to be desired. But ultimately I would order from them again. Hope this helps!
